After breakfast you will be met by your driver and transfer you to Tarangire National Park. The park is approximately 2 hours’ drive from Arusha and is famous for its large elephant herds and its picturesque landscape dotted with baobab trees. Tarangire is one of the least visited parks in northern Tanzania yet its dense population of game from July – November is second only to the Serengeti. Enjoy lunch at your camp followed by an afternoon game drive.

Kirurumu Tarangire Lodge is built on the site of the old Tamarind Camp, in land we own and looking out on a flood plain that is seasonally a rich feeding ground for elephant and much else. There are 10 permanent tented cottages built in exactly the same style as the new Kirurumu Manyara Lodge cottages and the standards are the same high standards you have always been familiar with at Manyara.

From Arusha your Driver/Guide will transfer you the 2 hours by road to Lake Manyara National Park. A drive around Lake Manyara will take you through the underwater forests thick with monkeys, warthogs, wildebeest, and buffalo before arriving at a clearing that looks out over the lake.

Enjoy your picnic lunch before proceeding to your Lodge in Ngorongoro highlands (karatu town) approximately 30 minutes.

Located on the outskirts of Karatu, a farming town. Pmaoja Farm Lodge is an eco-friendly luxury lodge located next to the famous Ngorongoro Crater and aims to harmonize with the environment through its natural unobtrusive design and positioning.

Day 4 – Ngorongoro Crater

Descend to the crater floor in search of the big 5 with the back drop of the forest covered crater walls surrounding you, creating stunning back drops for all of your wildlife photographs. Travel through the Lerai Forest looking for leopard and onto the plains where the wildebeest and zebra graze whilst cheetah and lion lay and watch. Old elephants pass your vehicle whilst further afield rhino wander and hippos hide in the pools. A picnic lunch is provided so you can maximize your day in the crater.

The Ngorongoro Conservation Area spans vast expanses of highland plains, savanna, savanna woodlands and forests. Established in 1959 as a multiple land use area, with wildlife coexisting with semi-nomadic Maasai pastoralists practicing traditional livestock grazing, it includes the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater, the world’s largest caldera. The property has global importance for biodiversity conservation due to the presence of globally threatened species, the density of wildlife inhabiting the area, and the annual migration of wildebeest, zebra, gazelles and other animals into the northern plains. Extensive archaeological research has also yielded a long sequence of evidence of human evolution and human-environment dynamics, including early hominid footprints dating back 3.6 million years.

Leave your lodge and drive along the crater rim before descending the outer slopes of the Ngorongoro crater and onto the vast plains of the Serengeti. Arrive at your lodge approx. 4-5 hours later.

The Serengeti is not only famous for the great Wildebeest Migration that moves around the park from October – July every year but also for the vast number of species that reside in the park year round. The concentration of predators in the Serengeti is high with large prides of lion, numerous hyena clans, and regular sightings of both cheetah and Leopard. Elephant, buffalo, giraffe, and antelope can be found feeding on the rich plains as well as some of the lesser known species such as aardwolf, mongoose, caracal, servals and hyrax.

Pamoja Serengeti Luxury Camp is situated at the centre of the vast Serengeti National Park, in Seronera. It is an intimate, privately-owned wilderness camp offering comfort and exclusivity in the heart of one of Africa’s most important wildlife habitat. Pamoja Serengeti Luxury Camp is made up of tented suites, a separate dining, lounge and bar area.

The Pamoja Serengeti Luxury Camp allows very close contact between visitors and wildlife. A unique aspect of the camp is the close proximity we achieve between camp and the surrounding habitat. Wild animals routinely wander within the camp boundaries while a number of species make their home adjacent to our boundary.
